A surgical milestone, close to home.
Innovation has a purpose: helping a capable surgical team care for patients.

The first case
On October 29, 2024, Dr. Sashi Ganta performed the first procedure using Moon Surgical’s Maestro system in an ambulatory surgery center, at Surgeons Point Surgery Center. He shared the milestone on LinkedIn and thanked the team who helped bring the technology into the operating room.
Part of the surgeon’s team
Maestro is a digital surgical assistant used during laparoscopic surgery. Moon Surgical’s January 2025 announcement confirmed that the Cedar Park center was the first ASC worldwide to use the system. Its initial cases included sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass and gastric band removal.
