If you’re considering doing any kind of surgery here is my recommendation. The sooner the better. You know you can get your life back on track, and this will help you do it. Don’t wait. If I could have done it sooner I probably would have. I’m 24 right now, and I really wish I would have had it when I was 20. But it is the best thing that you can do for yourself.

I decided to officially go ahead and do it once I felt like my career wasn’t going anywhere. I wasn’t happy with myself.

I was hurting my knees, my ankles, my back – anything you can imagine was just painful. Finally I was at that point one day when I saw a picture of myself that I didn’t approve; I didn’t like who took it or which way I was taken. And it just made me feel horrible that I had let myself get to that point. And that’s when I finally decided this is what I have to do. I yo-yo dieted for many years, and I was considered morbidly obese for about five years. I was just I was tired of it. I used to play volleyball play basketball; I was into all kinds of sports. And I just I got so fatigued working an eight hour shift – I couldn’t do anything afterwards. That was my breaking point.

I chose Dr. Ganta because I did my research for about six months trying to decide which doctor I wanted to go to. He was the most experienced and most qualified that I found he was very personable. His office just was just amazing; all of his staff very friendly. He partners with different people to show you and help you out and he himself was just great – just a great person to be around, ready and willing to help you with anything you need to know.

Life after surgery has just been great. I’ve lost 210 pounds now, and it has been amazing. I can finally do the things I want to, like complete my wedding planning. Not thinking what are my wedding pictures going to look like, or am I going to be this big in a wedding dress. I’m not going to have to worry about any of that because I know I’m going to look fabulous. And I love to go shopping now. My girlfriends would always want to take me shopping and I never really wanted to go. It was kind of depressing. But now I love to go. My husband doesn’t like it so much; it’s kind of hard on his wallet. But he deals with it because he knows it makes me happy.

I had a manager from another place that I used to work see me for the first time and he was just like, ‘wow, what did you do? You look amazing. You look great.’ Anytime someone from my past comes up it’s the same thing. ‘Wow. What did you do?’ And I love to just be able to say well, I went to Dr. Ganta. He helped me and it was it was great. He changed my life. And if you’re consider doing it I highly recommend it.

Ever since I walked into Dr. Ganta’s doors for the first time, his staff was very friendly, very opening and inviting. When I had to come back for the testings that they had to do before surgery, they remembered my name – as soon as I walked in they knew who I was. The day of surgery I was the first one to have surgery that day. So I was a little bit nervous that I was the first one. But he walked me through what’s going to happen, and everything went great and smooth.

The only time it was bad was after I left the hospital. That’s when it was kind of bad. But after that I just started losing weight and my life just continued to excel and get better. I would recommend Dr. Ganta because I did my research. I’m from Houston, and he’s in Austin. I think that should I speak a little bit about that I was willing to travel to Austin to receive the surgery from a doctor. And I believe that he is that specialized in this field and he’s the best one out there.
